Freestyle Motocross Shows, Monster Truck Rides, Poker Run, Boat Show, Vendors, Food & Beverages. This year, the event again took place north of Lake Havasu City limits. It started at Anderson Toyota, up desert trails up to Topock 66 and back to Anderson Toyota. During the event, lunch was served, raffle prizes handed out along with a wining poker hand prize. Halloween's behind us. Thanksgiving is still three weeks away. While other parts of the country feel the chill of autumn, Lake Havasu temperatures remain in the upper 80's/low 90's. Beautiful weather for doing some offroading, right? Well, if you need an excuse to roam the land around us, sign up for Desert Hills Side x Side Poker Run 2020.

Lake Havasu plays host to several poker runs on the water throughout the year. But if you don't feel like playing on the water, how about a poker run in the desert instead? The Desert Hills Professional Firefighters Association hosts their second annual Side x Side Poker Run this weekend, November 7th.

Participants need to show up at Anderson Toyota by The Shops of Lake Havasu at 7 am on Saturday, November 7th to begin their adventure.

Once on their way, drivers follow along desert trails all the way up to Topock 66. Once there, everyone gets to enjoy a nice lunch break (provided as part of admission). Then, they make their way back to Lake Havasu City.

The Desert Hills PFFA Side x Side Poker Run only allows 150 vehicles to participate. Each vehicle is allowed up to two people. It costs $100 per vehicle to claim your spot in the poker run. Your cost of admission includes a poker hand, two meal tickets, and one commemorative T-shirt. If you want to increase your meal to all-you-can-eat tacos, it costs an additional $5 per person. And, if you want to increase your odds of winning the grand prize for best poker hand, pay just $10 for an extra hand to play.

Last year's Desert Hills PFFA Side x Side Poker Run raised money to replace outdated equipment. This year, they want to use all the money raised from the run to provide extra training for our local firefighters. A portion of the money raised also goes back into the community through donations to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (www.tunnel2towers.org), the Havasu Side x Side Trail Association (www.havasusxs.com), and Mile Markers (www.milemarkers.us).

Lake Havasu City Poker Run 2020

The UTV World Championship is proud to announce that RIGID Industries has signed on as title sponsor of the UTV World Championship Poker Run navigated by onX Offroad on Wednesday, October 7th. The RIGID Industries Poker Run is the sixth consecutive year for the UTVWC Poker Run event, this time around on a 60+ mile course in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The Poker Run is open to the general public and our way to bring the enthusiasts, racers, team members and everyone in Lake Havasu together for a fun event behind the wheel of their own UTVs.

Cost: $125.00 per vehicle, open to the general public

The RIGID Industries Poker Run navigated by onX Offroad takes place on Wednesday, October 7th from 8:00am to 5:00pm beginning and ending out of Standard Wash OHV Area, just South of Lake Havasu City. Registration is between 8:00am and 12:30pm at the official UTV World Championship Start Line and the fee to enter is $125 per vehicle. The event is open to UTVs only. No registered race vehicles are allowed so bring a pre-runner or play car to participate.
